Mountain Family Trip 3 of 3 – Fishing & Wildlife
In part 3, we reel in fish after fish after fish. Seriously I could barely keep up helping the kids. We didn’t keep everything, but enough for the kids to have that experience of cook what they catch. Some of their friends for the first time. I feel it’s very important to understand where food comes from.
We get the results of the game cameras back with what I expected. But also thrown in is past captures of the claw and fanged nature.
And of course we sat around the campfire looking at the stars. We did. But let’s be honest, people got tired, sometimes ornery. But overall it was worth the time and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Mountain Family Trip part 2 of 3

Setting up some game cameras, camp chores, food, and golden hour activities with a crazy golden retriever...I think she's on crack. And this new upload process (new to me) is aggravating. "Sensitive content?" Sensitive to whom?

Adventuring up into the mountains to make some good memories. Took 8 months to editing when I had free time, but fun to go back and look at the trip.
100+ Miles of Dirt Road - Part 3 of 3
Просмотров 557Год назад
Snow drifts and muddy roads were top of mind when planning this trip. I had only 2 days to plan this 5 day trip of 100 miles of dirt road. Having been on sections of this road before, but never completing it end to end, I knew how bad certain sections could get when affected by weather. Forecast looked good as far as rain. But the snow drifts I wasn’t sure about.

Hittin' the Hills with the Boys

Heading up for some camping and fishing with 3 of my boys. Although I've been to this area before, this particular camping spot I have not. Turns out this is probably in the top 3 favorite camping spots after this trip.

Backpacking and Fishing with the Twins
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.3 года назад
The Twins, myself, and the dog head out for 3 days into the backcountry. Fishing, carving, and exploring ensue. Some behind the scenes info (for the 2 people that actually read this), I was carefully watching a forest fire somewhat close to where we were located. In fact in some shots you can hear the planes fly nearby as they were fighting the fire. It was far enough away I didn’t feel we need...
TRUCK BED SETUP - On the Cheap and Keeps Options Open
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.3 года назад
Not looking at spending thousands of dollars on a truck bed setup? Not looking to commit to one specific setup making it difficult to do other truck activities? My simple (albeit a little messy) truck bed setup for my camping trips. Setup will slightly change depending on what I’m doing for overnights (camping, hunting, etc) but it keeps the bed open for steel shooting targets or whatever else ...

Early season camping trip. I get very anxious to get back out for prolonged camping/backpacking trips once the snow is mostly gone. Normally not many people are out that early. Covid this year really changed things. Still had a great time with the kids and the wife on a camping trip. #cr0cket20

NICE! Love what you've done - you've given me some ideas. I've recently bought a Cold Steel Rifleman's hawk and they no longer coat the head in that Horrible gloss paint, they use a matt finish. And I was pleasantly surprised that the top of the handle Didn't look like a feather stick where the head had scraped the handle.

You just need to fill the hole where that nasty set screw was. I've got 5 CS tomahawks, and two of the viking axes. And that set screw is vexing. I usually get a bolt and or machine screw from the local hardware story. Then using Red Loctite, screw it in until the bolt is almost but not quiet flush with the inside. Then cut off the extra bolt sticking out. Sand and polish, then finish with Perma Blue. You did a great job.

The hole that would let air in from the bottom was blocked by rocks. That would have pulled in cool air and kept air flow going so that the fire and smoke would go out the top

Good to see you Crocket. Just watched a Nutnfancy video. He was at the reopening of BladeHQ with a long time viewer who was discussing the influence of Nut’n’s channel on his life. Made me reflect on how long I’ve been watching YT. Nut’n was the first channel I subscribed to. You were part of that mix. Always liked how real you are. Would be fun to see you guys reunited, up in the hills or popping targets on the Anvil. Good to see your family growing. And my thanks to you and Nut’n for all the entertainment and inspiration over the years. God bless!

They become too reliant and addicted to it (and adults as well). I get that it's here and not going anywhere and we should learn how to healthily integrate it into our lives. But batteries die, it's not always reliable, and sometimes it's just good to get away from a screen.
